Resolve a DNS record

Common record types
A and AAAA map names to IPv4 and IPv6 addresses. MX identifies mail exchangers, NS lists authoritative nameservers, TXT carries text-based policies such as SPF, CNAME creates aliases and CAA can restrict certificate authorities.
What is TTL?
Time To Live tells resolvers how long they may cache a DNS answer before checking again. A DNS change can therefore take time to appear everywhere even after the authoritative record has been updated.
